What are the origins of Mermaids….?

I’m not going to answer that now (it’s a long, long story), but I’m going to put the question on the table. I’m also going to add that Mermaids are more important than you can imagine. They ‘appear’ to be a mythic, fairytale creature, but they actually represent something far deeper, for older, for more dangerous (in a good way).

I do believe their mythic and ancestral spirit is with us right now, for a reason.

And I’m also going to say straight away that what people call the ‘witch wound’ - should rightfully be called the ‘mermaid wound’ - a mysterious feminine magic that has been with us since the beginning of time, and has been forced to the bottom of the ocean, and given fangs and made monstrous. In fact, the very first mention of the word ‘mermaid’ in a text, was in a manuscript describing monsters. The moon-sters.

Mermaids are connected to the ocean, to beauty, and moon, magic, death, childbirth.
