Feminine Magic: What is an Incantrix?
A lost feminine art of words and energy architecture is returning...
Enchantresses are energy weavers and spell workers, known to be able to manifest and shape realities with their words, prayers and songs. They were famed for prophecy, for keening rites, for wild elemental magic, and ecstatic healing. Come and join me for a chat as I explore how we can embody this deep magic in our own lives.
This is an old feminine art, that complements, but is different to the modern somatics, that has become the be-all and end-all measuring stick of feminine embodiment.
I am an Incantrix and Illuminatrix. There are energy transmissions behind my words that shape new realities and architect new templates. These templates are ancient.
The way I work is with structural magic as an Incantrix, which re-weaves energy fields, frequencies and lineages through the power of an energy transmission that is incanted in words, patterns, ideas, and reconnections of ancient story synapses.
Normal energy work usually just moves people's energy around through the same Templates and the overall effect is that not as much changes in the long term.
That's why people often have their energy field 'cleared' and then go on to repeat the same old patterns in their lives.
This is a path of feminine magic that the Enchantresses and High Priestesses used to shift and incept new realities. It is also coded in the stories of Sirens and Mermaids who have an uncanny song and the ability to lure and transform with their voice.
Women in my world often experience profound shifts in their world and reality over time, because of this quality of magic. Words are architecture that shifts frequency.
Nowadays the word Enchantress conjures up visions of a wicked Queen in a Disney movie, or a beautiful and dastardly villainess who is using her beauty and magic to do evil things. It’s no coincidence that this is how we’ve been taught to view the archetype of the feminine Enchantress. The reality is, that the Enchantress archetype was once a very sacred and revered role, and comes from a very real lineage of magical women, spanning from the temples of the Near East, all the way to the wild and remote stone circles of the Celtic isles, who studied and practiced feminine magic in order to become oracles, healers and shamanic shapeshifters of reality (the female word for a witch in northern Europe is wicce, meaning ‘to bend or shape’.) These feminine magicians studied and practiced their art in goddess temples, mystery schools, alchemy colleges, and hedge schools, and later ‘hearth schools’.
Over time, the cultural landscape for women who practiced magic (or sorcery as feminine magic was often called) become a lot less welcoming. By medieval times, this type of feminine magic was practiced by women and magical lineages in secret from their home, or sacred nature spots, working with gramarye from their ancestral dynasties of magic women in their family and community lineages, who encoded the wisdom and practice of feminine magic and passed it on. Often mothers, grandmothers and aunties would be the tutors of this gramarye and the teachings they elaborated on were oral. Passed from silver tongue to silver tongue.
The Alchemists, scientists and artists of the middle- ages often studied in secret with these dynastic lineages of wise women, known as enchantresses, chantresses, encantrices, or incantrix, and secretly encoded their wisdom into their alchemical manuscripts and art. Their wisdom was known as ‘Glamour’ - meaning ‘to gleam’.
Famous alchemists and physicians, who founded what we would now call ‘medicine’ or ‘science’ clearly stated that they had studied with wise women and learned their feminine arts (from herbalism to sorcery), although over time this memory would be almost stripped out of the record books. It also led to some epic mistakes by male medical doctors hundreds of years later who had forgotten the magical feminine source of their knowledge. Those tales I will save for another moment.
Although we often imagine the witch or wicce as an herbalist, healer or midwife (which she can be), looking back at the records what really got the Church’s knickers in a froth was not the local village healer, but the Incantrix who used words, incantations, songs, spells and prayers to shape reality. This kind of magical power and authority to command the elements or the body by the power of their word was too close to the role of the priest, and in their communities, these women acted as unofficial priestesses of the old religion, who knew the scripture and songs of natural magic. In early church tradition, this ‘power of authority’ - to ‘author’ was claimed exclusively by men, although for many moons it had been a gift of women too.
Enchantresses were known as ‘Owl-Chemists’ too, and the owl was their sacred totem. Women who work with me are often visited by an Owl. Our lineage continues.
Now that’s all well and good – but how does this apply to us now, in our everyday lives? I believe this path is the ‘next wave’ for women’s awakening and embodiment.
Why I am passionate about this work I do, is that I feel we have forgotten about the real work of what feminine magicians did. They worked with inception, incantation, spells, words, patterns, plants, elemental energies, quantum templates. They were world shifters. Frequency witches.
Often in the modern world, ungrounded in any true lineage magic of Grammar (the old word for Glamour), I see women rolling around in a kind of energy work that has no containment or sense of boundary. Not in the way of personal dynamics, but in a deeper sense of no structure to hold or initiate the energies that are arising, creating the sense of an endless fog of energy moving around the same template. Deep meditation or energy can ‘clear the decks’, but it then needs new structure, or the energy will revert back to its old patterns, and nothing will be truly resolved.
In my work, I don’t want you to just receive beautiful energies that make you feel good or connected to the Divine for a moment. I want you to evolve into a new structural reality. I want you to claim the power of the Word, to incept your own timelines.
What I notice from a pattern recognition sense (a higher function of our cerebellar consciousness, the ‘witch brain’ – and the HQ that the nervous system reports to), is that women are often polarized in the mind - or the body. They need the ‘third’.
When we are too much in the front thinking brain, or too lost in the endless ocean of the somatic body, cerebellar re-patterning work reveals our overthinking, or our addiction to the sense of being in the deeps of the body, without the ability to illuminate it into knowledge, and so we grasp for that experience of being in deep energy states, but then cannot utilize them. For some women it expresses as ‘heat’ - they are doing from the mind and burn out. Or damp, they get lost in the waters.
Many of the ancient paths of deep magic talk about ‘gnosis’ – this is the Enchantress way. The body becomes an oracle for the Mother Mind that brings the pattern recognition into conscious awareness, with powerful effect. It is the royal road from the Womb to the Throat. Not just to be able to birth children, but to birth worlds.
In my opening presentation for Sacral Wealth and Year of M, I describe this archetypaly and symbolically as the Ocean and the Tower, The Mermaid and the Priestess. The ocean represents our deep somatic consciousness, and the Tower represents what happens when an elevated and integrated nervous system (the transceiver) can raise the energy , traveling up the spine, into the cerebellum.
In magic (unlike in man-made trauma healing paradigms) this alchemy is the goal of practice.
The cerebellum was known by ancient cultures as the ‘Mother Mind’ or the ‘Dragon Brain’. The initiatory awakening of this aspect of feminine consciousness feeds through into our thinking mind, and our front-facing Self, that interacts with the outer world, to create profound change. It refines us, constellates, us and forges a diamond.
This is why feminine wealth work has to merge these two functions of feminine magic, because to incept, structure and generate wealth, you have to be able to interact at high levels with the outer world, and to communicate and touch your audiences with high levels of embodied gnosis. Just being aware of ‘your’ body isn’t enough.
One of the reasons why women have difficulty generating wealth on a magic level (other than the practical societal ones) is that they are either sunk deep into their body, and the pathway to cerebellar feminine consciousness that embodies as brilliance, magnetism, enchantment is broken, or they are completely out of body and feminine brain, stuck in the thinking mind, trying to exist in linear man-made time. Often women can connect to psychic vision, but then they can’t do anything with it.
I often comment on this, that after decades of seeing women experience or attain deep energy states or psychic visions, I am unphased and unimpressed. Where are the receipts?
They are a stage, and a location we return to for replenishment and regeneration. But they are not the end point. And for women already ungrounded and lost in the depths of their bodies, where psychic boundaries have been broken, it is vital we build that Tower of structural power.
I am not judging either of these states, I have them plenty myself. Working on the computer a lot I often get stuck in my head, and meditation, being in nature, or energy work can really help to bring me back into the fullness of my self. Likewise, I personally love deep sound healings, energy transmission and somatic embodiment, and have to be dragged kicking and screaming back to reality afterwards.
Template work can also be really hard on the body, so integration is absolutely essential. Somatic embodiment and energy coherence is vitally important, which is why in my longer containers we have special classes for breathwork, meditation, movement, beauty rituals. The more you know, see, perceive, the more you feel. It is an art to contain this expansion into cerebellar consciousness, and it needs gating. This is why, in the modern world, money can act as a suitable guardian to initiation.
It is also very difficult for modern women to be able to differentiate between the masculine thinking mind (lists, doing, logic) and feminine structural consciousness, that works in patterns, and is highly effective and can produce real results, but is working in a quantum resonance, and spiral time that has constellation sequences.
What this means in plain language is, everything can land at once, and a portal opens. There is no doing that can get you there. No mental intention. It is an act of magic.
Black Fire, the forbidden and sought out ‘philosopher’s fire’ is a highly magnetic substance generated when the chalice (mother energy) and the blade (incantrix power) merge together. Women have been falsely told that only men hold the blade.
What I’ve experienced is that Tower work is demanding, strict, not for the faint hearted. Changing templates really does change your reality. It can create grief, loss, magical terror. It is a rooted ascension, and the aim is to become a lighthouse, that rises from the earth, to illuminate.
Bio-energy work is important to maintain the flow states of body and consciousness, but if you wish to incept Sacral Wealth. There is more. Let me show you.
The Year of M is open for enrollment, if you wish to embark on a sea yoyage….
